It ships with GNOME 3.20.1, a brand new kernel based on Linux 4.4.8, an updated installer system and tons of updated and upgraded packages. This version has been built on top of rock solid Debian Jessie (8.0) platform and all base packages have been synchronized with Debian Jessie repositories as of April 27, 2016.
