The problem is that the -dev was pulled, which means that when I needed
to make a fix to nvi, I was also forced to update to ncurses5. This
didn't appear to introduce bugs, but it made me nervous. Forcing all the
packages which use curses to update to a major new library version at
the end of the development cycle seems unwise.
