Cannot build 2.2.14 kernel on newly installed potato

Hello,

I just tried to compile 2.2.14 (fresh from kernel-source package) on my
newly installed frozen potato, and it failed to compile. Here is
stderr:

I never have seen such a situation @home, where I'm using Cyrix. Kernel
processor configuration is set to `386', but in case of Pentium/586
there's the same error. Packages used:

kernel-source-2.2.14: 2.2.14-4
gcc: 1:2.95.2-8
binutils: 2.9.5.0.31-1
bin86: 0.14.9-3

(Any help is appreciated, because I really like to have secure-patch
and devfs installed on my boxes).

regards,
Jubal
