If you want _just_ security updates, then you should have a line like this
deb http://security.debian.org/ stable updates
in sources.lists, as is mentioned in http://www.debian.org/security.
BTW, is this line in by default? Last time I looked (way back) it wasn't.
IMHO, _this_ line is a must.
