WNPP requests

I'm in the process of becoming a Debian developer. I sent a WNPP request to
create packages for three orphaned packages: macutils, gnotes, and iplogger.
I also mentioned that xirc uses Qt and thus should be moved to Cannot
package with Debian.

This is a starting place as recommended by the Debian docs. I'm also writing
a new application for which I will create debian packages.

How long does it take for the WNPP request to go through? The orphaned
section doesn't mention to contact the person listed for said packages, but
should I?

I assume that new packages should be uploaded to Woody?

I'm still going through some of the developers reference docs so bear with
me if this is in there I just haven't got to it yet.

Thanks in advance.
