That indeed is the general understanding[1,2]. But there's no way to
know for sure that is what the author intended. So, personally I'd
feel much easier if the author makes the licence somewhat more clear,
and explicidly allows selling (for profit) of the software.

Note, that at the moment selling for profit isn't explicidly allowed,
and people point out that with licences, everything that isn't described,
one is thus not allowed to do.



[1] This I learned through a previous thread on debian-devel about this.
    I once posted a message on debian-devel saying "[similar licence
    as above] this is not DFSG compliant"! But I do occasionally learn
    things from debian-devel.
[2] I like footnotes. Do you?
