dpkg...

in a message recently, someeone said they heard dpkg was being worked on again.can someone conirm this?

i ask because i have some suggestions or dpkg.  however, i am sure
everyone does.  so, before a hundred and one suggestions start madly
coming toward the list, is there someone/someones to which these
suggestions should be sent?

or is there some other way to have an organized discussion about this.
