Re: giving a few packages away...



Well Paul, what do you say -- Can I have cdda2wav?  Since I maintain the
ide-cd driver for the Linux kernel, and more recently, I have been working
on a major update to the 2.1.x kernel CD support (see
http://www.inconnect.com/~andersen/files for my latest development
kernel patches) I was thinking it might be natural and conveinient to be
working a bit more closely with this package.  A company that makes a
certain ATAPI CD-R/W drive (I am not yet certain how much I can discuss)
is also sending me one so I can add full support for them into the kernel
(fully GPLed support -- of course), So I will very soon be most intimatly
involved in using these packages, updating the kernel to support them even
better, and probably extending them to support some new features I have in
mind.

If you have strong feelings about these packages, I would be willing to
let you maintain them.  I just think I might be a better choice for the
moment.  What do you say?
