Yes, a few incidents could be critical in determining public
perception.
I read that Debian considers GPL and Artistic to be free. But the
Artistic license is supposedly less restrictive than GPL. Maybe there is
not complete consensus on these issues. I am really enchanted with the
notion of GPL style freedom-- perhaps this is more of an opportunity to
promote these ideals. (He said the license distinction would be clear.
And GPL is plastered all over Debian/GNU linux.)
If there is some potentially bad scenario that this
CD deal could evolve into that I just don't see-- what is it ?
