Question from new developer

I've put together a few new packages on a bo system.  (SRGP, simple
raster graphics package, and cgic, for programming CGI in C)  Anyay, the
question is should I even bother uploading these packages as they are
libc5-based? Or should I upgrade to glibc and rebuild the packages?

One consideration, the system is a production system.
