John E. Davis has released new versions of SLang, JED, SLrn, and most:

Note that you have to tweak the Makefile a bit to get slang compiled
as a shared library file (libslang.so) .. You need to remove all of
those deprecated ELF linking flags; "-shared" is enough.
Also, `ldd libslang.so.1.0.x` doesn't seem to work, but if you put
it somewhere (eg /lib, $LD_LIBRARY_PATH) where ld looks for libs, it
works fine.

NB: It has to be linked with RSAREF for RSA support in the USA.
