Well, some time ago I submitted a bug report against bugs.debian.org
asking Ian for a level between normal and grave, and he closed my bug
report when he implemented that severity level.

Therefore, "important" is ALSO a severity between normal and grave.

If you seem to know more about the bug system than Ian himself, why don't
you volunteer for maintaining it?

BTW: Brian's list does also show *grave* and *critical* bugs.
Saying that "tagging a bug against bugs.debian.org as important is a
misuse of the bug system" is like saying "the bug system is always perfect".
Nonsense.
