with power comes responsibility.....the responsibility to understand what
you are doing (or at least attempt to learn).

i think you are falling victim to microsoft et al marketing FUD.  Unix
is *NOT* particularly difficult to learn or to use.

same with W95 and NT - regardless of what MS would like people to
believe, these tools also require some intelligence and knowledge to
operate. they're not magic, they only do what they're told.


you can't beat them on their own ground. they've got millions of dollars
to invest in their FUD. reason cannot prevail against unreason in a
head-on confrontation. the way to win is to shift the paradigm so that
ease of use is no longer seen as being incompatible with high quality
software....raise the standards, to a point where MS can not follow.
