I was *wrong* wrong wrong, I guess!  Info indeed comes with texinfo,
and that includes makeinfo.  Maybe there was collusion between the info
maintainaer and the tetex maintainer?  It's not necessarily the case
that makeinfo should ship with info (the binary pkg).  Maybe it should
ship separately (having it conflict with tetex-bin, and vice versa).

Someone should file a bug ?

I'd like to see a competitor to tetex in Debian, perhaps based on
TeX-Live (licensing unknown, maintained by Sebastian R. who also
maintainers jadetex).  Of course that would put us into a lot of hurt
and need for wierd TeX installation issues, virtual packages, etc.

Also, is there any reason why tetex couldn't be internationalized?
