Yes. And possibly delay the release of the new GTK versions until the
maintainers, or some automated system, have brought their versions
up-to-date. But not necessarily. This can be discussed in more detail on
the list.
There having been little dissent, and some agreement, I now ask the
listmasters to create
debian-gtk-gnome@lists.debian.org
as an open-subscription, archived list, for developers of gtk, gnome and
dependent or related packages, including imlib, to coordinate releases,
and help each other with recompilation.
