These symlinks have now been flattened. Can someone confirm that
the dangling symlinks did, in fact, make it to the CD-image? If so,
the cd_autoup.sh script _will_ fail. At least, this only affects the
i-386 CDs.

The README-Upgrade file in upgrade-older-i386 recommends using
apt-get as the preferred upgrade path. For those few (?) who can't
use apt, the only alternate is to use autoup.sh and the deb-files from
http://www.debian.org/2.0/autoup/.

We should post this solution prominently on www.debian.org, and
make an announcement on the lists. Any suggestions regarding the best
way to publicize this? I would like to minimize the number of e-mail
complaints I have to field! Maybe I should set my .forward on master to
/dev/null ;-)
