ls -l /lib/libc.so.*
will probably do the trick.  So will something like
ldd /bin/sh
(And if you are using Debian, then if you have version 2.0 or higher,
you are using libc6.)

What does this question have to do with the Debian development mailing
list?  Please address questions like this to debian-user or IRC in
future.
