I agree. You should do that.

Then current texinfo is more improved than teTeX one. I think we
should use that one, then. I'll start creating the texinfo package,
which will include makeinfo, texindex, texi2dvi and install-info (?).

I guess I shouldn't have crossposted to texinfo list, after all :)
