Yes, it's nice to eliminate common cases, but I think enough people have
me-too'd that the common cases is eliminated. Here's my complete data
point: this morning I didn't have any problems, now I'm getting this on
running ps:
{netlink_kernel_create} {netlink_kernel_create_R__ver_netlink_kernel_create}
Warning: /boot/System.map-2.2.7 does not match kernel data.
Warning: /usr/src/linux/System.map has an incorrect kernel version.

uname -a:
Linux osgiliath 2.2.7 #2 Tue May 18 19:24:55 EDT 1999 i586 unknown

ls -l /boot/System.map-2.2.7:
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root       154782 May 18 20:13 /boot/System.map-2.2.7

uptime:
  6:14pm  up 26 days, 20:51,  6 users,  load average: 0.02, 0.14, 0.16

top gives me the same message. The problem has come and gone over the
last couple of days at least, maybe longer.
