pcmcia in kernel 2.2.12
sup.. i've had this nagging problem with pcmcia ever since i've used 2.2.x in linux. For some reason, the pcmcia modem isn't connecting at 115200bps like it should - i *did* tell pppconfig to use that speed, too. And i edited serial.opts in /etc/pcmcia and added "spd_vhi" to the serial flags, but the spd_vhi flag is obsolete in 2.2.x as i was told. What more can I do? I'm desperate here :)
One other thing... I used the exact same soundcard irq/dma settings in 2.2.12 as i did in 2.0.36/.38, and the sound won't work. It just clicks and sputters when i play an mp3, for example. The IRQ is 5, 1st dma is 1, 2nd dma is 0. Its a Crystal CS4232 soundcard, as well. (Ain't all that bad for laptop soundcards :-)..)
If i could get these 2 issues resolved, I'd be a happy 2.2.x user and wouldn't ever have to use 2.0.x again (2.2.x runs a LOT faster on my laptop than 2.0 does)
