I'll see if I can come up with a new patch based on this bug report. I had no choice but to back out the old patch--it failed regression tests and caused data loss in the case of moving a file to a symlink to that file on another partition. (In that case the original file disappears and the symlink turns into a dangling symlink.) Mike Stone
