The workaround was for a different bug, I believe this is more to do
with the fact that debconf has been updated and netbase's postinst hasn't.

dpkg --purge debconf; dpkg -i netbase*.deb # ought to work, but some other
packages already depend on debconf, so that's not necessarily possible.

As something of an aside, I really do wonder if we should have packages
depending on debconf already (or even for potato). It's approaching having
a stable API, but it's not there yet.
