It's one way of doing it. Another is to wait until base-files 2.1.12
is installed into the archive.

It means that the newest version of bash et al depend on
base-files (>= 2.1.12), which you don't yet have installed, so apt-get
won't try to install the latest versions.
Have patience.

dselect and capt are two methods. Or you can look at
/var/state/apt/lists/ (or /var/lib/dpkg/available as long as you ran
"dselect update" instead of "apt-get update").

I don't believe glx is yet packaged. Mesa: search for mesa in either
dselect or capt, or use "grep-available -P mesa" to find the packages
you want.
