Join the games team

Hi,

I'm currently porting a game called Dink Smallwood to GNU/Linux (and
other SDL-supported platforms), and I'm also packaging it for
Debian. It's called GNU FreeDink - http://www.freedink.org/

Miriam suggested that I join the Debian games team to ease the
maintenance.

I'm interested in helping with:

- packaging GNU FreeDink

- refreshing SDL_gfx and work with Andreas Schiffler (the author) to
maintain a consistent soname version (currently it varies greatly
among distros and source builds). I've already sent Andreas a few
  patches for other issues.

I'm interested in getting help with:

- having my upload sponsored :)

Please let me know how we can work something out!

Should I go formal and start an entry at
http://wiki.debian.org/Games/Sponsors/Queue ?

Thanks, if I find something else I'll tell you :)

I really encourage you to join the Debian Games Team [1] and
co-maintain it there. It is really much simpler to maintain a game
package in a team due to economy of scale, as there are more
maintainers helping and many of the issues a game might have are
shared with other game packages.

Yes, it is possible to upload them, but they won't get into Lenny.
They will stay in unstable until Lenny is released, and after that
they will automatically move into testing.

Miry
