Seconded. UUCP is quite widely used in the UK as well, both directly
and over TCP/IP. I've installed a number such sites over the last
twelve months, other people who work for the same company as I have
done many more. There are more to come, too...
I hear some US ISPs use it quite extensively too.
``fairly rare'' just isn't true.
