And > without replicating code throughout all exim4 packages? i'd be really, really wary of doing something like this. imho packages should never touch/reference/know-about anything under /var/lib/dpkg. i'm also not convinced that this couldn't break something, somehow, in some wierd corner case. but my concerns have more to do with the previous issue, and the fact that this could later be used to set a precedent in other packages where the packagers are both more ambitious and less careful. sean
