Bug#1021993: ITP: swirc -- Curses ICB and IRC client

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Markus Uhlin <markus.uhlin@bredband.net>
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-devel@lists.debian.org

* Package name    : swirc
  Version         : 3.3.6-1
  Upstream Author : Markus Uhlin <markus.uhlin@bredband.net>
* URL             : https://www.nifty-networks.net/swirc/
* License         : BSD-3, ISC and MIT.
  Programming Lang: C and C++
  Description : Curses ICB and IRC client

Swirc is a BSD licensed, console based and lightweight ICB and IRC
client written in C/C++, whose goals are to be portable and secure.

Features:
 - TLS/SSL
 - Multiple IRCv3 features such as SASL auth mechanism
 - Themes
 - And more...

The package is useful/relevant because the Debian project provides
support via IRC. IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is also a well proven
social media that lets the users to be anonymous.

ICB (Internet Citizen's Band) is a less common chat protocol similar
to IRC. It's used by the OpenBSD project. Swirc can act both as an ICB
and IRC client.

I plan to maintain Swirc using my best efforts to keep it safe and
sensible. I'm not looking for co-maintainers, but feedback is always
good.

I'm however looking for a SPONSOR!
