Bug#688309: Exceeding maximum password length (as defined for Kerberos users) brings passwords (LDAP/Samba/Krb) out of sync

Package: debian-edu-config
Version: 1.445 (squeeze-r0)
Severity: normal

When setting a password in GOsa that is long than 10 chars, the passwords in Kerberos/LDAP/Samba get out of sync.

Samba and LDAP have the new password set after the password change. Kerberos refuses the too-long password and for Kerberos (i.e. Posix login) you have to use the old password.

Suggestion for fixing: limit the password lenght in the Debian Edu configuration of GOsa.
