Finally some good news!
I'll be onboard, so far my limited knowledge can help.
We are in production with jessie since august, with all the
known workaround.
Actually the printer history can be fixed with one additional line
of "browse poll" in /etc/cups/cups-browsed.conf instead of client.conf.
