Sometimes I wonder if that rooftop scene in the movie The Matrix, where
they say "everyone falls their first time" is actually about Debian
packaging :-p  Truly, no worries, this happens to everyone!

Re: "notification about this email" are you subscribed to
debian-emacsen@lists.debian.org ?  Since you're using GMail it might be
necessary to create a server-side filter (using the webmail interface)
to insure that email from this list ends up in the Inbox.  By default it
sometimes puts mail in Promotions, or Social, or Forums, or even Spam.
It's also worth checking if you're affected by GMails aggressive
unlabelling of random messages (eg: archiving mail on delivery, which
all but guaranties you won't see it). 

P.S. In case it wasn't clear, when I wrote "on list" at your scala-mode
bug I meant the debian-emacsen list and not the bug email address.
