Oh, wait, you did! *igniting the flame thrower* What I learned from the fiasco last year is the following: - no single person should do the installation. There is somebody needed to explain what is going on and an assistent doing the real installation. You can't look at the screen and at the audience at the same time. At least not with the layout we had last year. - We have to run the installation with exactly the same hardware when testing and when presenting. Otherwise we will run into weird problems like a resolution that the screen can not display *arg* - Something has to be prepared to fill the gap when apt-get goes and installs 200 packages. 5 minutes is not long if you are waiting for your system getting installed but it is not as nice if you are waiting for your audience to leave or throw bananas. - There must be something special about our installation. Nobody cares anymore if you can install Linux on a PIII/800 with 256MB of RAM. How about installing on a 486 notebook over a plip connection? ;) Thoughts? Torsten
