Given that grass57 has important new functionality (vector+), and 5.8 (or 6.0)
will be released in about 1.5 months, I am not sure it will be worth the
while to invest heavily into packaging 54 (I may be wrong). The structure of
57 should stay the same, so wouldn't be better to keep on tuning the
packaging system for 57?
This way:
- -we'll be ready for 5.8/6.0 as soon as it will be released
- -we'll be able to solve and check the integration with gdal & qgis (a major
issue, in my view).
