Frank, You're everywhere ;-) I've tested the UseExceptions() without success and tried to find "UseExceptions" in the gdal.py and ogr.py. I'm not a professional of the Debian packaging policy but can't we have two packages : one with the old one to keep an openev package working too and another one with the new bindings. Didrik
