I suggest we wait for users to request new bindings, as it will
increase the list of dependencies and thus make it harder for
mapserver and all its related packages to propagate into etch.  Such
dependency nest can become very large, and in the end require manual
work by the release masters to get at least of its packages into etch.
Are anyone actually interested in using these new bindings?  If so,
can they announce their existence with a wishlist bug to BTS?
