Bug#42512: Rlogind and .rhosts name lookups.

Problem: 

If
  (1) rlogind is looking at .rhosts or hosts.equiv files.
  (2) The file has lines at the start that have just comments or are blank
  (3) an rlogin connection is started.

Then
  rlogind does a host name lookup on an empty string.
  rlogind hangs until it receives a NAK on that hostname.

Result
  Diald phones my ISP to get an authorative ruling on the null address.
