Thanks for the patch; I haven't tested it yet, but it looks like a strong
candidate. ltrace on screen shos it has a problem due to an unterminated
ttyname result:
ttyname(0) =
"/dev/pts/0\007\bEOFEOFEOFEOFEOFEOFEOFEOF"
__xstat(3, "/dev/pts/0\007\bEOFEOFEOFEOFEOFEOFEOFEOF", 0xbfffe820) = -1
__errno_location() = 0x40179d80
vsnprintf(0xbfffdf58, 1948, 0x0806da0b, 0xbfffe768, 0x0807ae00) = 36
strerror(2) = "No such file or
directory"
sprintf(": No such file or directory", ": %s", "No such file or directory")
= 27
printf("%s\r\n", "Cannot access '/dev/pts/0\007\bEOFEOFEOFEOFEOF"...Cannot
access '/dev/pts/ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ': No such file or directory
) = 65
exit(1) = <void>
+++ exited (status 1) +++

Ray
