Dear Maintainer,
The latest version of goocanvas has been sitting in experimental for some time
(2.0.2). Now that Jessie has been released, I am looking at the reverse
dependencies to see what needs fixing and updating to allow the goocanvas
transition to start.
I have built gpredict against the experimental version of goocanvas and it
fails to build. This is the tail of the log:

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables PACKAGE_CFLAGS
and PACKAGE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
