Ah, okay. I am sorry, but I forgot to apply the dummy interface patch to GNU
Mach in gnumach 1.2-1, so you have to compile your own version or wait for
the next upload. You can get the patch from me.

Yeah, but we need a special patch to make this working, and this patch is
not included in this particular version. It is not in CVS becvause local
network should work without any patch, but unfortunately it doesn't.
Normally, this would work:
settrans /servers/socket/2 /hurd/pfinet
but a bug is preventing this. If you want to help, try to debug this bug in
the Hurd pfinet server.

As I said. GNU Mach without any patch would require a network card even for
local network because of the bug I mentioned above. With the patch, we have
the dummy interface, but it is still ugly (only difference is that you don't
see that it is ugly anymore).
