Bug#685186: IA64 (Itanium) Wheezy, ELILO installation failed-- urgent help required



Dear All,

 

First of all sorry for emailing everyone in this thread. as I need help from the above bug which still persists.

 

Summary of events in short.

 I'm testing the installation of debian 7.0 and get the following

error message when installing the boot loader:

 

 

ELILO installation failed

Running "/usr/sbin/elilo" failed with error code "1".

 

 

I have rx6600 HP Itanium server to be installed with Latest Debian Wheezy.

 

1, Downloaded latest 7.3 wheezy DVD and installed in rx6600

2, Installation went through fine until I encountered ELILO installation  error

 

ELILO installation failed
Running /usr/sbin/elilo failed with error code "1"

 

Just googled it and ended up with this thread posted October
