This issue has shown in other packages such as glibc on ia64 [1]:

/usr/bin/ld: failed to set dynamic section sizes: bad value
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
So, I don't think it's a regression in mariadb-10.6 itself but rather
the toolchain on ia64.
