That would be great. Since I am not familiar with ARM porting, it would
be great if anyone can analyze what is happening with Debian's lua.

I'd say they are not so important since I didn't receive any bug
reports regarding the features missing when they were disabled. Since
now you have a solution of patching in Ubuntu, that looks like a viable
solution.
