It's always possible to use fcitx4 or ibus. If you use Gnome, I
believe ibus is also installed by default. And if users like fcitx,
they can keep using fctix4. Fcitx4 still works and is maintained, just
no new features and no support for Wayland.
The default option always has limitations that can't satisfy all the users.
