It hasn't failed, it's just a warning and you can safely ignore it.

What you should be seeing is:

$ apt-get update
Get:1 http://debian-interix.net unstable35 Release.gpg
Ign http://debian-interix.net unreleased35 Release.gpg
Get:2 http://debian-interix.net unstable35 Release [320B]
Get:3 http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable Release.gpg [197B]

Then the apt-get update stage should succeed cleanly. This will look like:

$ apt-get upgrade -f -V

Building dependency tree... Done
The following packages will be upgraded:
   [...list of packages...]
3 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 335kB of archives.
After unpacking 56.3kB of additional disk space will be used.

If you say Y you will then get:

WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!
  [...list of packages...]
Install these packages without verification [y/N]?

All the warning is doing is saying that it's unable to check the
signatures to verify that the packages are genuine. Assuming you trust
Martin Koeppe, you can now say y to proceed.
