I plan to add, among the release goals, a proper Java policy and a common
setup for all Java stuff (at the present time, there is no coordination, so,
for instance, each Java compiler in Debian requires its own set of environment
variables). Work is in progress <http://www.debian.org/~bortz/Java/policy.html>
and 1st November is certainly enough for us to finish it and have an Official
Java Policy.
