Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.85f
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/sbin/update-initramfs

update-initramfs builds a new initramfs file system, packs it up, and
deletes the directory built before packing.

For analysis, it would be great to be able to take a look into the
file system, so it would be nice to have update-initramfs leave the
tree around instead of unconditionally removing it.

Greetings
Marc

no further arg was brought forward why update-initramfs needs
that switch that mkinitramfs has.

update-initramfs is the higher level user friendly utility
that calls mkinitramfs and manages the initramfs images.
people wanting an unpacked build tree are for sure able
to call mkinitramfs.

there for closing.
