Bug#449272: Freedom to sidestep too-raw bits
I understand that the bug tracker is not a place for such rants, but still.
I like Debian exactly because it allows the users to configure their
systems exactly as they want, and sidestep the too-raw bits (such as
UTF-8 and udev in previous releases). With the inclusion of only the new
firewire stack, you removed such freedom. Please include both stacks and
add the relevant blacklist files. I don't care what is the default as
long as I can choose the stack that works for me.
