[Bug report] Kernel Oops linux-image-2.6.22-3-amd64
Hello debian kernel maintainer,
I would like to report a bug in the kernel
linux-image-2.6.22-3-amd64 which is in LENNY/TESTING
I had a lot of kernel oopses and was not able to shut
down my system properly.
Hardware:
Intel Q6600 quad core
8 GB ram memory @667 Mhz
Asus pk5 mainboard
I can reproduce it by downloading some Gbytes over the
1000Mbit interface on the mainboard using ftp, ssh or
smbfs. Every time the system oopses after some Gbytes
have transfered.
I Solved the problem:
I upgraded the kernel to
Linux quad 2.6.23-1-amd64 #1 SMP Fri Dec 21 12:00:17
UTC 2007 x86_64 GNU/Linux
using the package in SID/UNSTABLE
Now my system is stable.
Best regards,
Eduard Boer
the Netherlands.
