Package: linux-image-2.6.26-1-686
Version: 2.6.26-1
Severity: normal

I have recently upgraded to the linux-image-2.6.26-1-686 and have
discovered that the PC speaker driver is enabled (it is disabled with
previous kernels with the line "blacklist pcspkr" in
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist).

I have checked that the module is not loaded (it is not present in the
output of lsmod).

In the dmesg output, you can see that the PC Speaker driver is loaded
during the boot process:
[ 7.922801] input: PC Speaker as /class/input/input12

If I try to modprobe pcspkr, I get:
[ 267.131367] Error: Driver 'pcspkr' is already registered, aborting...

Of course, if I try to remove the module pcspkr (using rmmod), I
get an error because the module is not loaded:
ERROR: Module pcspkr does not exist in /proc/modules

According to the /boot/config-2.6.26-1-686, the driver PC Speaker is
provided as a module.

There is also a new option in the 2.6.26 kernel, CONFIG_PCSPKR_PLATFORM,
which is set to yes. But I do not know if it is related to my problem.
