Package: linux-2.6 Version: 2.6.32-3 Severity: normal I don't seem to have the CPU flags for Intel virtualisation from the processor to run KVM, Xen and friends. I double-checked the BIOS and virtualisation is enabled (it's a Q45 chipset with a Core2Duo E7400 processor, and a recent BIOS). I'm happy to include other information or try things if you direct me, since my kernel experience is limited. I did wonder if I needed to load a module. Thanks. -- Package-specific info: ** Version: Linux version 2.6.32-trunk-amd64 (Debian 2.6.32-3) (ben@decadent.org.uk) (gcc version 4.3.4 (Debian 4.3.4-6) ) #1 SMP Sat Dec 26 17:13:29 UTC 2009 ** Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=//vmlinuz-2.6.32-trunk-amd64 root=UUID=674d09bc-8ab6-4744-8b4f-b1e5c3a61e54 ro quiet ** Not tainted ** Kernel log: [ 4.788413] EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. Sadly I can't find the original box (I suspect it's been thrown away in a fit of tidying over the holiday) so I can't be sure about which processor I have, but looking at the original invoice there's a good chance it's the cheapest of the lot, which doesn't have vmx. Thanks for the specs page, which I hadn't seen, and sorry for wasting your time, -- Jonathan Wiltshire 1024D: 0xDB800B52 / 4216 F01F DCA9 21AC F3D3 A903 CA6B EA3E DB80 0B52 4096R: 0xD3524C51 / 0A55 B7C5 1223 3942 86EC 74C3 5394 479D D352 4C51Attachment: signature.asc
