Package: linux-image-2.6.30-1-amd64 Version: 2.6.30-1 Severity: normal I have a Technotrend Premium C-2300 Hybrid and wanted to boot the new linux 2.6.30 kernel. This boot process stops when it loads the modules. I think it said "Could not load av7110/bootcode.bin" (only took a note with the name of the firmware and not the rest. sry). It is really disturbing that the whole boot process stops and not only the module stops working. I think this has to be fixed when debian strips the firmware blobs. --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-2-amd64 Debian Release: squeeze/sid 500 unstable ftp.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =====================================-+-============= module-init-tools | 3.9-2 initramfs-tools (>= 0.55) | 0.93.3 OR yaird (>= 0.0.13) | OR linux-initramfs-tool | Package's Recommends field is empty. Linux image packages now recommend firmware-linux-free, so it should be automatically installed. Ben. -- Ben Hutchings friends: People who know you well, but like you anyway.Attachment: signature.asc
